En 1966, Surveyor 1 est la première sonde spatiale américaine à se poser sur la Lune. La sonde fournit des informations précieuses sur la consistance du sol en vue du premier atterrissage d’un engin habité sur notre satellite.

In 1966, Surveyor 1 became the first American space probe to land on the Moon. The probe provided valuable information on the consistency of the soil in preparation for the first manned landing on our satellite.
